Wrt the motto, "Never let a good crisis go to waste" the administration and congress are turning the country into a socialist state without any public debate, elections or coverage by the slobbering media darlings. As the deficit increases in the name of "saving the economy" and beyond the ability to ever pay it off at current tax rates, taxes go up beyond the Euro social democrat style for most everyone. Once government spending is the biggest GDP dog on the block, we're socialist. They don't have to change the constitution, have an election or argue before the Supreme Court.

The current regime is very smart. They are not only stupidly spending the country into bankruptcy, they are forcing the country to take a new form of government by spending their way out of the current ever shifting bipartisan stupid to a greater stupid. If they just spend faster than bewildered folks can wake up and do something about it, it will all be over soon and there will be no way to extricating ourselves from the debt without giving our money to the government as greater taxes and fees to keep from defaulting ... beyond my life expectancy and my family's. No debate, just pay, more everyday.

The new cast of characters are very smart. They may know squat about business, defense, science and economics, but they know how to spend their way to a new nation that can not be easily corrected by elections and a new cast of characters. Quietly enacting socialism through education, recruitment, and fiscal and monetary policy can be done in a stealthy manner. Very sneaky change we can believe.

A third party or no party coalition would have to be large enough to squash both parties else the status quo is sustained via the electorate. The current regime could be counting on a diluted electorate to stay in power. Like Ross Perot helping Clinton get elected. Made Billy happy. Large and small, ill coordinated, unhappy groups of voters could keep the current regime going for sometime.

A statesman or woman is needed, no more politicians. Someone who wants to go home after the clean up job in done. In the meantime, the people have to insist that their Senators pay attention and agree to no new spending.

THANK YOU! and **** THEM! They're treating the constitution like it's an annoyance in their brilliant plan to make us socialist.

the classic signs are all there. pitting the poor against the rich (ACORN tours of the AIG execs' houses), taking control of every industry and replacing the liberty of the individual with the liberty of the collective.

we do need new "politicians" that are libertarians (what a liberal used to be before they turned into socialists) and TRUE conservatives (what republicans used to be before the "neo-cons").

Winston Churchill - “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

IF we are indeed headed for a single world wide monetary system, hence eliminating the dollar...well, start putting together your, "I remember when our country was a sovereign nation" stories or your kids and grandkids. there are those who also wish to make a one world judiciary system as well, meaning that our laws essentially mean nothing.

No doubt that we are in historic times. NEVER has anything like our current events taken place. How in the hell do we put the brakes on this thing?

quite scary isn't it? this is real stuff they're talking about and actually considering.

If anyone doubts the severity of what's happening and that we're headed straight into a socialist country, ask yourself this: If Obama indeed wanted to transform this country into a socialist one as fast as possible, what actions more drastic than he's already taking could he possibly take? Short of eliminating every single private owned business and replacing them with government institutions, what else could he do?

hmm, Geithner's already made the proposition to make any "systemic" business to be taken over by him...

The current strategies were designed to make the world's monetary system obsolete by updating the population at large to more efficient technologically advanced methods to improve antiquated world systems that no longer work. See www.spychips.com/ (http://www.spychips.com/) to see exactly how these methods will be utilized.

on the plus side: the rest of the world is finally waking up to the fact that capitalism produces wealth and socialism spreads poverty. So, if we go global, hopefully the rest of the planets capitalist gains will support us if we go down. at least, hopefully :worthy:

One man's "efficient technology" is another man's totalitarian rule, if used to that end.

I am all for more efficiency, but the only thing being antiquated would be our way of life.

exactly, Ron...

technology is awesome unless it's used by the government to limit your choices and/or run your life. again, we go back to liberty; individual or collective...
