I have a 2004 or 5 Lacqured Tweed Fender HR Deluxe for sale. It has the vintage ($110) Jensen speaker. New, they are going for $640. It is 40 watts with 1-12", two levels of drive, foot switch. It is almost mint...a few minor scuffs, but no rips or pulls. On e-bay they sell an external volume control for these amps because the original volume control gets real loud real fast. That is because Fender put in a linear volume control to make people in a music store think that the amp is much louder than it is. (Wow if it is this loud on 2 it must be unreal on 10). Well I replaced the volume control with an audio potentiometer and Also resoldered every one of the weak wave soldered connections in the amp. I replaced the brittle (ready to break or cook above the power tubes) ribbon cables with stranded copper wire, so this thing should be reliable for a long time. It is one pretty loud amp, but I just spent a small fortune on an original 65 Vibrolux reverb and need to recoup some of my amp money. If interested eMail me at jrp@whc.net

Dude,,the guitar player for Winter, use,s two twins and an array of pedals like you wouldnt believe,,,sounded kick ass!!!.
Ive read article upon articles that state that, twins really do well with some good stomp boxes.
I fired mine up today for the hell of it,,,,shit!!!!!! what a tone,,,,I just dont have a good overdrive pedal,,i had an original ibanez tube screamer, but I loaned it to a kid I was giving guitar lessons to,,,I never saw him again!

eddie its true, twins are great with overdrive pedals. i've got 3 different overdrives currently on my pedalboard and they all sound great through the twin and each has its own tone.

Yea, the Twins are the king of a fat full Fender tone. The only problem is the weight. As you get a little older and play the small clubs, you might want something lighter. Even Pat (Guitar Slim) put his Twin away and bought a Fender Blues Deluxe (which is a HR Deluxe like mine with one less gain channel) because he got tired of hauling around the Twin. Anyway, My Deluxe is one loud 46 lb. amp if anyone wants to save their back. If I had roadies, I would go for the Twin myself. Tweed HR Deluxe $450

PS: The Winter-Cray concert was unreal. I forgot to use the earplugs that were there, so I can still hear Johnny in my sleep, but I don't mind.

Weight--is the main reason i dont use my twin, still love the tone though.
I purchased a Palomino all tube class A amp thats made by crate,,the clean channel has a nice fat, thick, untra clean tone to it,however,,,the lead channel is a bit too thin for me.
I would get that amp from you,,,but----I---Must----resist!!!
I already have 6 amps,I really dont need another one.

Actually, Paul Nelson, Winters tour manager turned him wayyyyy down from his usual volume. I sure appreciated that. I thought it was going to be a db scalping for anyone in a 100 foot radius.

KW Sound sure did an amazing job on that show.

I'll be posting a couple pics on the thing soon.

they started off at a good level, but mid way through, the db level was a bit more than i could handle,It was a smart move having ear plugs available for this event.
I did notice that there was a couple of snod-ass people there that could care less about the preformers, especially this dude that was sitting right in frt of me,he,s seat was arranged so that it wasnt facing toward the stage but, to the left,he could of rearranged it to get a frt view of the band,,,that dumm ass just looked around with his ear plugs on,yawning away,he would occasionally take a glance at the performers but that was it,,,,,,I was this close to telling him to just go home,,,,im sure Cray wont mind.
My bud,"Dr Anaubi" mentioned to me that there would be people like that there,he mentioned that they could care less,,,they probably didnt even know who was performing,,,,shit,,at one time,,Robert Cray had to tap on the mic after playing a song as if to ask,,is there anybody out there????

Oh No, I am selling the HR Deluxe because I just paid a fortune for a 1965 Vibrolux Reverb. I put it in the shop for a $250 recap, three prong cord job and the guy doing the work just told me that he bought a 1977 Vibrolux Reverb for...$100. The add is still in the EP Times for a "Vidrolux Reverb". They also had a vintage Fender Reverb unit for $100. Check it out. There are still a few real deals out there. I know a girl who got a nice
Martin for $6 because it was "broken". The person selling it did not know if you could replace the BROKEN....string.

PS: The HR Deluxe that I am selling is off the picture on the left. You can just see the edge of the tweed in the picture.

WHAT.... !?!?!!?? Dude.

But keeping in mind the Led Zep bull$*t thread... she did do "Railway To Heaven". Probably before Page picked up a guitar or Plant even thought about blowing into the flute.

Badco, Q is confusing "Cry me a River" with just "Cry"

I Believe Billy Holiday was the close to the original, I haven't had the pleasure to hear Patsy do the song...
